Capital FM just held its press conference for their much anticipated national music tour at O Cafe in Gulu. The tour will kick start in Gulu, dubbed Gulu Gang at Pece Stadium on Saturday 29th/02/2020.

According to John Paul Mugwanya, Capital FM's brand manager, Capital FM is not in Gulu just for the concert as various activities will be held.

"We have lots of activities like community service in Lacor hospital, meeting different key players and influential personalities in Gulu to see how Capital radio can make lives easier and make businesses grow through advertising as well." Said John Paul.

Over five major tours are going to take place starting with Gulu, followed by Mbarara on the 11th April, Fort Portal on 2nd May, Mbale on 4th June and closing off in Arua on 6th July which is launching soon.

Initially Capital FM had a number of 7 artists from Kampala such as Eddy Kenzo, Bebe Cool, Ykee Benda, Winnie Nwagi, Gravity, Fik Fameika and John Blac who were to headline the event plus Liama and Eezzy from Gulu. This caused an uproar where fans and key players in Northern Uganda's entertainment scene threatened to boycott the concert citing unfair selection of artists and a few different issues. Well according to John Paul, 5 artist which include Destiny, Bsg Labongo, Tempra Omona, Eddy Wizzy and Pretty B have been added onto the two, bringing the total number of performers from Northern Uganda to seven, with another list of performers to be added.

On the side of the hosts, Mc Young Moni will host the event alongside Mc Lucky. Djs Frisco and Raymo will also perform.

One of the key issues touched also states that Northern Ugandan music will get its fair share of airplay in Capital radio provided it meets the minimum quality requirements.
