The Acholi Paramount Chief Rwot David Onen Acana 11 has called upon the government to launch investigations on selfish minded people selling fake covid-19 vaccines in the name of scamming Ugandans.
Acana 11 appealed to the government while addressing journalists on the growing number of people selling fake covid-19 drugs to the citizens of which many have been arrested in that line of duty.
According to the Acholi Paramount Chief, these people are now using this opportunity to scam money from people and also putting their lives in danger.
"We have to know that there are those that devil uses them are also there, I heard that they have been vaccinating people with water of which I don't know its truth but people who are being used by the devil exists in this world who wants to use such kind of period to scam people's money.' He said.
"We have to know whether there is covid-19 or not. There are people who used to manufacture fake drugs and sell to people because they have money interests. What is there, people should go and vaccinate. Rwot David Onen Acana 11 concluded.
He however stressed that many people are being convinced to use the drugs because they are so desperate and seeking for any vacancies that can protect and cure them from contracting the virus.
