Celebrated Ugandan musician Opoka Eric, professionally known as Eezzy has come out and urged fellow artists to at least support each other by purchasing table tickets at their fellow artist concerts.
This comes a few days after he brought a debate on social media after stating that there are no big artists from Kampala that can out-compete him together with his fellow artists in the North.
He however went ahead and mentioned their names e.g.Judas, Eddy Wizzy, Lucky Dee, Bosmic Otim, Monopoly, Maros and Laxzy.
"Luo musicians, why don’t we get in the habit of buying tables when our fellow musicians are doing a concert. If all the record labels and music groups come together and buy a table for themselves imagine the level of love and support that artists will feel. Charity begins at home my people. It’s not too late to change the industry, let’s start with Eddy Wizzy,"he stated.
According to Eezzy, the only way they can uplift the industry is by being united and standing for one another if not no one will do it for them.
"The only way we can uplift our own industry is by being united and standing up for one another. If we don’t do it for ourselves, no one will do it for us. It doesn’t take one artist to put Luo Music on the map, it takes ALL of us. We all shine differently but are powerful as ONE." He concluded.
