The 4th Infantry Division has a new Public Information Officer following the transfer of Capt David Kamya to UPDF Headquarters in Mbuya Hill, Kampala.
Capt Kamya, who has been serving as the PIO of the 4th Infantry Division, shared the news in the Aswa West Region WhatsApp group, appreciating those who worked closely with him during his tenure.
He said he has been replaced by Maj Bilal Katamba, who officially took over the office on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
"Dear colleagues, I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely appreciate each one of you for your support, patience, and cooperation during my tenure. It has been a privilege working with you all.
I would also like to welcome our new 4DIV PIO, Maj Biral Katamba, who officially takes over today. As for me, I will be reporting to Headquarters for my next assignment," he shared.
