4,900 rounds of live ammunition have been recovered from a garden in Otong Lawatpura Village, Palabek Kal, Lamwo District.
The bullets were found on Sunday in 67-year-old Mathew Okot’s garden after locals alerted police.
DPC Reagan Magombe says the ammunition is believed to have been hidden by the LRA during the insurgency. The rounds are still live and have been taken in for safe disposal.
Magombe has thanked the public for cooperating with security, saying such information helps prevent possible danger.
