State Minister for Energy and Mineral Development Phiona Nyamutoro was seen appealing to NRM protocol officials not to remove her husband, singer Eddy Kenzo, from the VIP section during President Yoweri Museveni’s swearing-in ceremony at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds.
Nyamutoro made the plea as guests gathered for the inauguration. Kenzo, a well-known Ugandan musician, was attending the event with other dignitaries.
However, the interaction left both the minister and Kenzo disappointed and embarrassed by how the protocol team handled the matter.
