Legendary female musician, Sherry Princess recounts how it was difficult being a female artist in Northern Uganda in the past
According to her, if you are a female artist by then they could look at you as someone who is affected by HIV/Aids.
"Being a female artist in Northern Uganda in the past wasn't easy because they will see you as someone who is affected by HIV/Aids.''
She added that they are taken as the most spoiled people not knowing that they are the most honest people more than the male artists.
"She is a spoiled person, she is an unmarriable person and it has really disturbed us. Now you can see most of us female artists are still living a single life.''
She further noted most people take female artists as people who are never fit to be married.
She concluded that currently people understand that singing is a blessing that God has gifted each and every person as a job to generate income for supporting their family.
"Currently people are understanding that singing is a blessing that God has gifted each and everyone and its job for generating money and bringing changes in his or her family."
