The sudden passing of a renowned Gulu City based food champion, Odose has shocked the people of Acholi.
We have learnt that he was allegedly beaten to death by a mob after he was caught in an act of theft in Unyama, Gulu district.
According to reports from close sources, Odose who was working at 4-U bar and restaurant, Gulu as a night watchman succumbed to injuries he sustained from the hospital where he was rushed for medical attention.
Following the same act, Odose was last year arrested with a stolen memory card and was made to dance all the songs in the memory card for the whole day.
Last year, he was crowned best food champion after beating Ozelle De Champion as the glutton of the year 2023 in a heated food eating competition at Pece Stadium during the NUMA Awards.
A report says he was buried last Sunday. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
