Kitgum Women Member of Parliament Hon Lillian Aber has promised to serve the needy with all her heart and bring positive impact in their life. 

Hon Lilian Aber who has been appointed as Minister of State for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees was last week appointed by President Museveni in the mini cabinet reshuffle.

On Monday 29th March she was vetted by the appointment committee of parliament chaired by Rt Hon Speaker Anita Among.

The youthful minister was sworn in on Wednesday 27th March 2024 along with the other new cabinet appointees. The event was presided over by Chief Justice Alphonse Owiny-Dollo and witnessed by President Yoweri Museveni at State House Entebbe.

Taking to social media after taking oath, Lillian Aber tweeted "Grateful and honored to be sworn in by H.E President @KagutaMuseveni who appointed me as Minister of state for Relief, Disaster Preparedness, and Refugees. I am ready to serve and make a positive impact in the lives of those in need. @mkainerugaba.
