On Friday 23rd June 2023, the talented female singer Vera graduated from YMCA Wandegeya, Kampala.
Vera's real name Alobo Petra earned a bachelor's degree in hospitality management.
She shared the good news through her social media platforms thanking the Almighty God for having enabled her to complete her studies successfully.
"I congratulate myself for having finished another level of education. It wasn't so easy for me to balance academics and music as well but I thank the good Lord who made it possible for me to become who I am today, and I believe it's a very big achievement for me not only in my career but also in the journey that I chose to follow. I give my sincere thanks to my beloved family, friends, my management with Blaq Boy Ent and Dallas Gang family for standing with me especially from the beginning of my education. The development saw the singer’s fans and well-wishers shower him with congratulatory messages, for the milestones achieved.
She sings Afro-beat, RnB, Zouk, reggae, dancehall, pop and world music; and is currently signed under Blaq Boy Entertainment, a Ugandan Record and distribution label.
She was awarded as one of the best female artists, Lango sub-region in the Northern Uganda Entertainment Awards 2022/23.
She has also released her first EP dabbed LELLA written and produced by Lincoln Feroh.
