Popular songstress, Acaa Beatrice alias Pretty B has started a charitable organization to support teenage mother's in Gulu communities and Northern Uganda at large.
The Pretty Beatrice Foundation is a charitable organisation established earlier this year in the month of April 2021 and the launch is under way.
The foundation is to fight against the teenage pregnancy which is alarming in communities.
"I decided to start a foundation to help teenage mother's.
Child/ Teenage pregnancy. Teenage pregnancy in Gulu communities and Northern Uganda is beyond the expected. The increase in child and teenage pregnancy in our communities is so alarming. A lot of young girls got pregnant during the covid-19 period. Some of these girls are rejected by both their parents and men responsible leaving them devastated with no hope of a better life or even returning to school. The impact of Covid-19 on adolescent girls which has led to child mother is complex and the consequences have the potential be long lasting. So to minimize the damage this has brought on girls live particularly those already facing rejection Pretty Beatrice foundation and well wishers responds now to the impact Covid-19 is having on our little sisters and children in Gulu communities. Physical and psychological support is agently needed so as to address or gun the expected danger since some of them are already seeing suicide as their only alternative." She took to Facebook.
Pretty B becomes the second female musicians to start up their own foundation to support the communitie where they come from after Lalam Irene commonly known as Liama who started hers years ago.
