OMONY Gilbert commonly known as King Diesoft is a young Ugandan singer and songwriter from Gulu, Northern Uganda. Born on 5 October 2004, Gilbert is a Ugandan national of Acholi heritage.
He is passionate about music, particularly the Dancehall genre, and has been actively pursuing his music career since 2023.
Gilbert began his education at St. Joseph’s College Layibi and later studied at SSBS.
His passion for music eventually led him to pursue a career as a singer and songwriter, where he has continued to develop his sound and build his presence in the Ugandan music scene.
His music journey began with his debut song, “Bend Over,” an audio track produced by One’s Beat.
He followed it with his second release, “Gimoo,” also produced by One’s Beat. His third song, “Kok Keni,” was produced by Giddy Beats, further establishing his musical identity.
King Diesoft continued his musical journey with “Tuku Neko,” an audio production by Giddy Beats, with the accompanying video directed by Orindi. He later released “Vimba,” featuring Kamuzu, with production by One’s Beat. His latest release, “Kodi Pa Dyewor,” is a new Dancehall banger produced by LBK.
Through his music, King is working to establish himself as an emerging artist while showcasing his creativity and talent.
Since beginning his career in 2023, he has continued releasing music and developing his artistic identity, with ambitions of reaching a wider audience both in Uganda and beyond.
