Olaa Samuel Akena popularly known by stage as Sam17 Ug is an upcoming Ugandan singer, songwriter and a performer born in Gulu and raised in Agonga village, Gulu District.
He started gravitating towards his music career in the year 2020 when covid-19 scattered the world apart.
Sam17 Ug was born on the 19/05/1997. He is the sixth born in the family of nine children of Mr Akena Patrick and Atuku Betty.
He attended schools like; Bungatira P/S, Gulu Army SS, Comboni Vocatinal Skill Training School.
Apart from doing music Sam17 Ug is also a carpenter, footballer, an actor and comedian.
