The Bwobomanam Clan has officially welcomed Rwot Ojara Justin Lawot III as the new head of the clan.
He succeeds the late Rwot Peter Martin Lawot, who passed away on June 9, 2022, after a prolonged illness.
His installation ceremony took place on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at his home in Bwobomanam B Village, Alero Sub-county, Nwoya District.
The installation was presided over by a Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Onen Santo, the Episcopal Vicar of Kitgum Vicariate.
In his homily, Fr. Onen called on the new Rwot and his subjects to embrace unity, peace, and cultural values as they rebuild the clan.
The event attracted cultural leaders from Acholi and Bunyoro, religious leaders, local government officials, politicians, and members of the community who turned up in traditional attire to witness the historic occasion.
Speaking after the ceremony, community members expressed optimism that the new leadership will help strengthen culture, resolve land disputes, and promote development in Bwobomanam.
The Bwobomanam Clan is one of the prominent Acholi clans in Nwoya District.
