Her Worship Aber Gifter, Laroo-Pece Division Mayor, Gulu City has been elected Vice Chairperson of Uganda's 20 Division Mayors And Town Clerks.
The election took place on Thursday, July 23, 2026 during a high-level meeting held in Kampala.
His Worship Malon Avutia was elected Chairperson, while Her Worship Aber Gifter was elected Vice Chairperson.
The forum aims to strengthen collaboration among Division Mayors and Town Clerks, promote effective local governance, and enhance service delivery for the people of Uganda.
Hon. Aber Gifter posted on X, thanking her colleagues for the trust and confidence placed in her, and pledged to work collaboratively to deliver better services to their people.
