Lango-based Northern Uganda secular artist Ojok Alex, alias Freeman Ug, is the latest musician to quit secular music and pursue ministerial work.

Speaking to Luo Tunes, Freeman Ug revealed that he sold his Monster Empire studio equipment and decided to venture into ministry.

He is the founder and preacher at Living Water Ministry Uganda, which has two branches, one in Ogur and another in Agweng Town Council along Kitgum Road.

When asked why he decided to give his life to Christ, he said: “Because the life I was living was not according to what God needs, and the second coming of Jesus Christ is very near. So I have to stand up and warn the world so that they can be converted and be ready to welcome Jesus when He comes.”

The singer, songwriter and producer said he opened the ministry earlier this year so that he can turn many people to the way of God.
