On Monday March 25th, 2024 Kitgum Woman MP Hon Aber Lillian was vetted by the Appointments committee of parliament chaired by Speaker Anita Among as Minister of State for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees.
Last week President Museveni appointed Balaam Barugahara as State Minister for Youth and Children Affairs, Lilian Aber as Minister for State for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees, and Dr Kenneth Omona as the State Minister for Northern Uganda Affairs.
The Kitgum Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Lilian Aber replaced Esther Anyakun who has been serving in the office for years.
The vetting was in respect to her appointment as Minister of State for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees by president Yoweri Museveni.
Appearing before the nomination committee, which was chaired by the speaker, the nominees were vetted by designated ministries.
"This morning I have successfully been vetted by the Appointments committee at parliament. Thank you Rt.Hon @AnitahAmong and the entire committee for the good work. @pwatchug @mkainerugabaa," Aber said on Twitter.
