Former 95.7 Radio Rupiny manager Monica Okot has succumbed to the deadly second wave of coronavirus.
The deceased was pronounced dead following a battle with the deadly virus on Wednesday morning.
Her death was confirmed by the New Vision Editor in Chief, Barbara Kaija ''We have lost Monica Okot. She was a journalist, programmer and station manager turned sales person for Rupiny. One of the strong pillars on which built Rupiny Radio. Rest in peace my sister.''
Meanwhile, former Vision Group CEO Robert Kabushenga praised her over her good job at station and said she was someone who was very personate about her work.
"Rest In Peace, Monica Okot. U are not just another covid-19 statistics. U were a good media manager and very personate about your work. You built Radio Rupiny form scratch to success! How poignant that you came to my farewell party & it was the last goodbye. God watch over your babies," Kabushenga said.
