Popular Northern Uganda sensational songstress, Acaa Beatrice alias Pretty B is over the moon after she officially opened up a foundation to support teenage mother's in Gulu communities and Northern Uganda at large.
The loaded self employed influencer and singer revealed that she was touched when she came across many young girls being rejected by both their parents and men responsible for their pregnancy leaving them devastated with no hope of a better life.
"I decided to start a foundation to help teenage mother's. Child/ Teenage pregnancy. Teenage pregnancy in Gulu communities and Northern Uganda is beyond the expected. The increase in child and teenage pregnancy in our communities is so alarming. A lot of young girls got pregnant during the covid-19 period. Some of these girls are rejected by both their parents and men responsible leaving them devastated with no hope of a better life or even returning to school. The impact of Covid-19 on adolescent girls which has led to child mother is complex and the consequences have the potential be long lasting. So to minimize the damage this has brought on girls live particularly those already facing rejection Pretty Beatrice foundation and well wishers responds now to the impact Covid-19 is having on our little sisters and children in Gulu communities." She posted.
The singer however, urged well wishers to stand up together with her foundation to end up the early pregnancy amongst the young girls in the communities.
"Physical and psychological support is agently needed so as to address or gun the expected danger since some of them are already seeing suicide as their only alternative." She concluded.
The Pretty Beatrice Foundation is a charitable organisation established in the month of April 2021 and the launch is under way. The newly formed organisation responds to the needs of children and teenage mother's from the Region.
