On Saturday 30th November, the Club Dome partiers were left to wonder as to whether to expect any meaningful performance from their favourite talents as the crowd were denied an opportunity with Eddy Wizzy.
Eddy Wizzy who took to stage excited however failed to play a single song from the numerous hits he has under his belt as the Dj just kept checking through his laptop for a non-existence song.
Anga Obed Mujong hitmaker who was introduced just a moment after 10 PM instead took to acapella to accommodate his fans who seemed ready to sing along in hope that he would eventually be played.
This visibly energetic singer left the stage shortly after and the DJ took to mixing and mashing up 2004 hits after the other with a few drops of Luganda big names such as ‘Media Dead’ The Myth.
Speaking to Eddy, this was his comment….
“I can’t say anything because I know this thing didn’t start from me, I know Kampala people when they see that we have brought for them the crowd, they always turn their back to us which I don’t know what we Northern artists wronged to them” he said.
” This ain’t our problem at all and about the crowd, no one complained and I don’t know which fan complained even his manager knows what happened. Thanks.’
This however not the first time event organizers from Kampala are being called out for sabotaging the talents from Gulu. In November this year, Eezzy one of the most sort after Gulu artist who is believed and seen as a real force to reckon with was also haphazardly taken off at the peak of his performance during Bebe Cool show that hanged not only party goers but eventually the local events managers also. Gulu currently lacks a strong force or creative protection to bargaining a better deal for themselves despite their grant talents.
