Northern Ugandan based singer Geoffrey Opiyo Twongweno has revealed that he has no interest and intensions to compete for any political seat within Gulu City come 2021.
Opiyo Twongweno in 2016 joined the political scene where he contested for the post of LC 3 Chairman Pece Division, Gulu municipality. However it did not go on well as he lost to FDC's Komakech Kelly along with four other opponents.
During a recent radio phone call interview on Mega FM, the singer told the moderator that he is already doing things that he would have done even when elected.
However, close sources reveal that he is eying a seat quietly in Palenga, Togi Sub County.
He further revealed that he has a new song out titled "Gin Makwa Boup" which is scheduled to be released in a week's time.
The singer is known for various songs such as Mon Mabecho, Cardiff City and various traditional marriage songs such as Adong Irene Suzana and many others.
