The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Gulu City committee has banned Sir Samuel Baker School from participating in their activities for a period of two years.
The school has been banned after being found guilty for consistently using unqualified players as part of their football squad during the ongoing post primary secondary schools championships.
On the other hand, the Charity College boys team has also been disqualified from Gulu City Football Championship 2025 for using a player who didn't qualify to be in secondary with PLE result grade U, according to the committee both sanctions are effective immediately.
To preserve the credibility of its tournaments, USSSA has taken a firm stance by imposing bans on schools found guilty of breaching regulations.
"Sir Samuel Baker School has been banned for 2 years not to participate in Gulu City Football Champion for consistently using ineligible players and Charity College Boys disqualified from Gulu City Championship 2025 for using a player who did not qualify to be secondary with PLE result grade U. Both sanctions are effective immediately," Read the statement in part.
