Former Uganda premier league striker, Tito Okello has revealed the reason why he switched his allegiance to the South Sudan national team.

Tito Okello who played for two Ugandan side KCCA and Vipers SC said he decided to play for South Sudan because of anger and segregation in the Uganda Football Federation.

"I decided to play for South Sudan because of anger. This was because of segregation in the Uganda National team.'' he said.

However, he was quick to explain that if you are a Northerner or you are from Northern Uganda you would not get any chance to play for the national team even though you are seen as the best player.

"Because you can really see that you are performing better than someone who is not your tribe mate but you will see that person being called in the national team squad.'' - Okello added.
