Kawempe North Member Parliament, Hon Muhammad Ssegirinya is dead. Ssegirinya passed on from Lubaga Hospital where he was admitted for specialized treatments.
The legislator’s health deteriorated months after his release from prison.
His passing on has been confirmed by NUP party president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine via his social media.
"Very sad news this morning. Our brother, our friend, our fellow leader Hon. Muhammad Ssegirinya has passed on. Such a dark morning.

The sad news of his death has caused shock among his supporters, party members and fellow legislators. He died at the age of 37 years and became the 6th MP to die during this term after former Speaker Jacob Oulanyah, Patrick Okabe, Charles Engora, Cecilia Ogwal and Sarah Mateke. #RIP Ssegirinya.
