The search for the Face of Gulu City 2022/23 queen finally came to an end over the weekend at Bomah Hotel Gulu as Lokoroma Sharon Melissa emerged the winner of the contest.
Lokoroma Sharon Melissa, 21, a 2nd year student at Makerere University pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Arts in Development Economics beat 8 other contestants to the crown after a tightly contested race. She also walked away with one million shillings that was awarded to her by Movit Uganda limited who were one of the official sponsors of the event.
Aloyo Innocent, 17, a senior five (5) at St John Paul II College Gulu emerged as the first runner up and Atim Racheal, 24, graduate from Ndejje University with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work & Administration and a business lady was second runner up in a colorful ceremony.
Lokoroma automatically becomes a brand ambassador of Role Model Foundation on a 1 year professional contract and an option to extend for an additional year.
According to Role Model Foundation C.EO Nelson Okeny, she will also be entitled to other benefits as a brand ambassador for Gulu City and work hand in hand with stakeholders within the city in making Gulu a Better City and promoting youth empowerment initiatives in the City.
