Seven local football players have been confirmed lifeless following a fatal road accident at Ediofe Trading Centre in Arua District.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening at around 8 p.m. after a Fuso truck carrying players and fans for Ajono FC Camp overturned leaving seven dead and several other suffered injuries.
According to a reliable source, these players and fans were on their way heading back home after a friendly football match against Oreku Football Club.
The fatal accident left seven dead many helpless while others have been rushed to Arua Regional Referral hospital for treatment.
Onama Bosco, the Federation Uganda Football Association (FUFA) delegate for Arua confirmed the report and blamed the accident on overloading.
