NUFA Unveils 2nd Edition To Celebrate Northern Region Stories.

Over the years, Northern Uganda film industry has seen excellent growth, creating opportunities and making a strong impact on audiences and fans across the nation.

The Northern Uganda Filmmakers Association (NUFA) has officially unveiled the list of nominees for its 2nd edition, under the theme "Stories That Redefine Us," set to take place on May 2, 2026, at Acholi Inn.

Northern Uganda Film (NUFA) 2026 Awards Gala will bring together leading filmmakers, and producers from West Nile, Acholi, Lango, and Karamoja (WALK), along with industry associations and partners.

The gathering seeks to deepen cross-border collaboration and explore opportunities to expand and strengthen the richness of the Greater North Region's cinema.

This year’s edition is celebrating 15 categories, honoring outstanding storytellers from the four sub-regions.
