Uganda's songstress Pretty B has opened up about her past, revealing she originally aspired to be a teacher before finding her place in music.
In an interview with Luo Tunes, she shared that teaching was her envisioned path during school days.
However, Pretty B believes she's naturally gifted, saying God wanted her to pursue what she loves - crafting things, and it's deeply ingrained in her.
She recalled music being part of her since childhood, participating in interclass competitions, and being part of entertainment from primary school.
Pretty B didn't think she'd become a musician; it wasn't her initial wish. When she joined senior one, influence played a big role, befriending celebrities like Tam Noffy, the late God Alone, and David Cream.
According to Pretty B, Tam Noffy approached her after recognizing her singing talent because he needed a lady voice for a song, and that's how she got into music. The song, "Akelle" (a collaboration with Actor Man), was her first studio song and also brought her fame.
