Gulu University students on Thursday evening emerged victorious in the Ultimate University Quiz Season 2 after defeating Lira University in a thrilling battle of brains.
Gulu University won the competition with 210 points, beating Lira University with 180 points. The competition was sponsored by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA).
Speaking at the Award ceremony, Michael Atingi-Ego Deputy Governor Bank of Uganda applauded the students who participate in the competition for demonstrating exceptional skills, creativity and determination.
He also added that Bank of Uganda has committed to supporting initiatives that empower Uganda’s youth.
He further explained that this competition has provided a platform for students to focus on the issues that matter from economics to environmental sustainability and equipping them to contribute meaningfully to national discourse and decision-making.
