Northern Uganda's female musician, Vera Music, one of the Ugandan fastest rising songstresses, has announced her departure from Blaq Boy Entertainment, the label founded by singer and cinematography, Lincoln Ferod.
Vera Music, whose real name is Abalo Petra took to her official Facebook page on Tuesday 13th August 2024 to announce the shocking news to her fans.
"I officially announce that my Contract with Blaq boy Entertainment has come to an end. And I greatly appreciate them for the wonderful and beautiful musical journey they supported me on. Am so lucky to have worked with them on every project that I had to release. The protection, mentorship and the awards I was able to win under the record label Blaq boy Ent, i'll be forever grateful ?. And now as I take this journey as an independent female musician, May the almighty God bless the works of my hands cause with Him all things are possible, and I will make it i promise .Blessings to y'all ??.''
This comes after she has lost access to all her social media handles like YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.
According to the Guitar hitmaker, her departure came at the time when her contract with the label had ended.
She went ahead and stated that she is will now embark on her solo music career.
She, however, expressed her gratitude to her fans and Blaq Boy Entertainment team and boss, Lincoln Ferod for mentoring, protecting while she was still under the management.
While under the label, Vera managed to bag herself two accolades at the prestigious Northern Uganda Music Awards i.e Best Female Artist Lango Sub-region of the year 2023/24 at Northern Uganda Music Awards (NUMA Awards) and Best Female Lango Artist of the year 2023/24 at Northern Uganda Music Superstar Awards (NUMSA).
