While addressing the nation on Wednesday, President Museveni has appreciated and welcomed his opposition leader Bobi Wine contribution made in combating the fight against the pandemic disease.
President Museveni was too surprised to see his enemy Bobi Wine on the long list of good Samaritans who have contributed resources to support the vulnerable people in the country
The political movement (People Power) joined the long list of donors who contributed to combating the spread of coronavirus. People Power Movement contributed 50bags of maize flour to the National Task Force handling the pandemic spread.
"People Power has joined the people'' Museveni said during the national address.
It should be remembered that even since Bobi Wine announced his ambition of running for the presidential seat in the upcoming general election 2021, he has become one of President Museveni's great enemy in the country.
However, the President asked landlords not to throw people out of their houses as if COVID-19 is a crisis that will not pass
" To the landlords trying to evict people because of rent, this is not allowed we are all in COVID-19. The world is not ending today. You can always demand your money later when all this is over," he said
He also continued to warn Boda Boda not carry any person or passenger even if it is their own but they can carry cargo as said before and adjusted cyclists time of ending their movement. According to President, all cyclists must end their movement at exactly 2 pm and any cyclist got riding beyond that time will be arrested for defying the directives
